Birchwood Christian School

Birchwood Christian School was founded in 2006 in Chugiak, Alaska by Brad and Laura Rud, with a focus on providing spiritually and educationally qualified teachers. It started with 30 students in kindergarten, middle, and high school grades, and now has a student body of 172 to 181 children from K3 to 12th grade, including military and oil industry families, who move in and out of the state every three years. The school finances its operations primarily through tuition, with fundraisers held annually to help. Birchwood Christian School prepares students spiritually, educationally, and socially to engage effectively with the world through the gospel of Jesus Christ.
