Torit Montessori School
About
Torit provides an education in the spirit of Dr. Maria Montessori’s ground-breaking methods, allowing students to explore materials and ideas at their own pace with guidance from teachers. The empowerment of the student and instilling curiosity, drive, and appreciation for knowledge are fundamental goals. The vision is for students to be capable of meeting any academic challenge, with the humility and social awareness to seek the ideas, support, and friendship of others. Globalism and the history of ideas are emphasized.
Various languages such as Arabic, Mandarin, and Spanish can be learned by all students at all ages. An in-house chef serves farm-to-school meals for lunch and snack that is included in tuition. Students can also participate in activities such as swimming, ballet, tennis, and skating. The school has a gym, dining room, library, art and music rooms, and after school STEM program. There are 30+ FTE teachers with an average of 10+ years teaching experience.
The campus is located downtown Boston near many places for exploration including the Boston Common and Public Gardens. It has infant, toddler, preschool, pre-kindergarten, kindergarten classrooms, and elementary school classrooms for grades 1 through 6.
