Waldorf School of Pittsburgh
About
The Waldorf School of Pittsburgh was founded in 1993 by a group of parents seeking a holistic, creative, and compassionate approach to education for their children. The school began as a pre-school called “The Haven” and has since grown to include pre-K, kindergarten, elementary, and middle school programs, as well as extended care and after-school programs. The school has received grants from organizations like Mellon and McCune and has established a scholarship fund and annual fund to support their mission. In recent years, the school has focused on sustainability and green initiatives, including participating in the Green and Healthy Schools Academy two-year program and completing a sustainability audit.
