Touchstone Academy

At Touchstone Academy, a typical day for a student is filled with engaging activities. The school day starts at 8:30am and finishes at 3:00pm, with a mix of structured classroom learning, outdoor play, and physical activities. Students have whole class lessons, small group work, and one-on-one time with teachers. Art, music, French, and physical activities are also part of the curriculum. The school emphasizes real art and music lessons, teaching students about artists, techniques, composers, styles, and basic theory. French language skills are also developed with daily French classes. Kindergarten students have longer school days compared to other local schools, while students in grades 1-5 have extra time in school along with monthly field trips, extended recess, and daily physical education. Touchstone students enjoy their time at school and are often disappointed on snow days.
