Sandy Lake Academy

Sandy Lake Academy (SLA) offers a junior primary program that aims to prepare students for school in a supportive and fun environment. The program focuses on developing math and reading skills, as well as gross and fine motor skills. Students must be 4 years old by December 31st of the year they begin at SLA. The academy provides small classes for student-teacher interaction and encourages close friendships. In addition to the core subjects, students also receive education in Bible study, music, physical education, and other subjects. SLA’s academic program meets and exceeds the provincial curricular requirements. The academy offers various leadership opportunities and promotes a joy of service among its students. SLA is known for its music education, with students participating in choir and orchestra. Elective classes and extracurricular activities are also available. Graduates from SLA have received scholarships from universities in Atlantic Canada and beyond. The academy emphasizes the value of students to God and teaches them about Jesus Christ’s sacrifice for salvation.
