Georgetown Montessori School

Georgetown Montessori School (GMS) was established in 1983, located in the historic district of Georgetown. It has maintained an international population of 40 children with a multilingual staff of AMI and AMS trained teachers and assistants for 40 years. GMS is committed to Maria Montessori’s educational principles which includes respect for life, making the world a better place, responsibility for the earth and commitment to building community. Diversity of cultures, customs, beliefs and thought is valued greatly at GMS as it encourages compassion amongst children and supports an environment of peace. Maria Montessori believed that young children should study global similarities and differences to build an early awareness of our diverse world. GMS celebrates individuals of all races, ethnicities, genders, ages, abilities and religions.
