Academy Montessori Internationale

Academy Montessori Internationale is a non-sectarian preschool located in a suburb of Kansas City that provides children with prepared classrooms and a natural playground to encourage social, emotional, and academic growth. The school educates children from 18 months to 12 years old in a Montessori program that aims to nurture critical thinking, collaboration, adaptability, initiative, and imagination while instilling a shared concern for others and the world around us. Founded in 1976 by Premela Wijemanne, the school has a diverse student body and has prepared thousands of children to take their place in the community and world. In 2017, the school was taken over by Nadia and Amjad Qalbani, who have their own Montessori school background and a vision for Montessori education.
