Clay-Platte Montessori School

Clay-Platte Montessori School in North Kansas City acknowledges the historical and systemic presence of white supremacy in the United States educational system, and further acknowledges their ongoing complicity in the oppression of Indigenous groups on the land their school occupies. As a result, they are committed to actively fighting against racism and other forms of oppression within their community, and have made specific resolutions to promote anti-racism and anti-oppression practices within their school. These include promoting diversity in their materials and lessons, making the school a safe and accessible place for all students, and working with the Kansas City Indian Center to support Indigenous groups and educate students about their history.
