Elizabeth Academy - Inclusive Montessori
About
Maria Montessori developed the Montessori method over 100 years ago, starting in the slums of Rome. This approach focuses on independence, observation, following and correcting the child, and providing a prepared environment. Montessori classrooms are designed to meet the developmental needs of each child, with appealing materials and beautiful order. Teachers observe each child carefully and provide appropriate guidance. The classrooms are lively and filled with movement, collaboration, and engagement. Students learn subjects such as reading, math, science, history, and geography by following their passions and making connections. They learn by doing, working together, making mistakes, and solving problems. This kind of learning goes beyond tests and becomes part of each child’s identity.
