Kawaiahaʻo Church School

Kawaiahaʻo Church School, located in downtown Honolulu, opened in 1975 as a daycare facility and has since grown into a preschool serving children from 24 months to grade 5. Grounded in its Christian faith, the school offers a hands-on Montessori curriculum with a focus on Hawaiian culture and language. In 2014, the school received a grant to expand its dual language program and develop the Montessori curriculum with STEAM principles. The school received the gold-star WASC accreditation in 2017, highlighting its safe, clean environment, skilled teachers, nurturing atmosphere, and innovative curriculum. The school is accredited by HAIS and WASC, and is affiliated with the American Montessori Society. The school operates Monday-Friday from 7am to 5:30pm.
