Moonstone Preschool

Moonstone Preschool has been an active member of the Bella Vista/Hawthorne community since 1983, maintaining strong relationships and a presence in the neighborhood. They frequently engage in outdoor activities at local parks and playgrounds during good weather and utilize the Palumbo Recreation Center gym during the winter. The preschool also values their surroundings and often takes walks to observe the people, animals, street art, plants, and construction sites of the neighborhood. Moonstone Preschool also prioritizes visits to local businesses, organizations, and institutions for performances, workshops, and presentations. They have a close partnership with Academy at Palumbo High School, where high school students participate in the intern program, visiting Moonstone to engage in activities with the children and assist the teachers. Additionally, Moonstone provides a Little Free Library located in front of the school for visitors to access and enjoy books. The preschool also extends its reach beyond the neighborhood to develop relationships in other areas of the city and even the world. With multiple opportunities to help out, Moonstone Preschool encourages community involvement.
