Stepping Stones Preschool

Stepping Stones Preschool, located in the Inner Sunset neighborhood, was founded in 1993 by Lisbeth Namara and Mary Tobin. Coming from European backgrounds, they aimed to incorporate European-style early childhood development into their program, emphasizing socialization and community involvement. In 1997, they took over the space at Seventh Avenue Church and opened Stepping Stones Preschool – Inner Sunset on April 1st, which has continued to thrive. Mary Tobin, a Nursing Supervisor at Sutter Health, resides in Ingleside Terrace with her three daughters who have all attended the preschool. Lisbeth Namara, a stager and designer in her real estate staging company, lives in Golden Gate Heights with her husband and two children.
