Tanque Verde Lutheran Preschool & Kinder

A group of forty families began meeting in an apartment clubhouse in 1973 with the goal of building a community church to serve the growing area. They eventually built the Tanque Verde Lutheran Church, which offers various worship opportunities, youth and children’s programs, and outreach ministries. In addition, the TVLC preschool and kindergarten has been serving the community since 1979, and the church prides itself on welcoming all individuals and supporting and caring for each other in a community grounded in the Lutheran tradition. The church also aims to meet evolving needs in the community and beyond and help connect people with God in innovative ways. The church’s beliefs center around God’s love and redemption for all creation and the active presence of the Holy Spirit in the world.
