The Advent School

The Advent School has been a member of the Beacon Hill community in Boston since 1961, and its mission is to reflect the city’s diversity and inspire children’s passion for learning through a forward-thinking curriculum and a commitment to social justice. The school was founded by Dr. Mona C. Hull to offer progressive education to all of Boston’s children, and it opened as a fully integrated school 13 years before the U.S. District Court ordered Boston’s public schools to integrate fully. Advent is accredited by the Association of Independent Schools in New England and is a member of several education-oriented organizations. The school celebrated its 60th anniversary during the 2021-22 school year.
