Funmi Kuye is the director and licensed owner of the Montessori School of Washington DC (MSOW). She has a bachelor’s degree in finance and an MBA from the University of Maryland. Funmi obtained her Montessori certificate in early childhood from the North American Montessori Training Centre. She has over 20 years of experience in business finance and accounting before venturing into the childcare sector. Funmi’s passion for empowering children through Montessori teachings and learning led her to establish MSOW. Mars Davis is the new assistant director and lead teacher at MSOW. She has 15 years of experience in teaching and guiding young learners. Mars holds a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and a master’s degree in education. She has also completed her Montessori training at Montgomery Montessori Institute. Fiza Ghias holds a M. Phil degree in social sciences and is currently taking early childhood Montessori courses. She is passionate about children’s education and promoting values of tolerance, inter-faith harmony, and empathy. Arij Mgarrech has a degree in chemistry and is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in health science. She speaks several languages including Arabic, French, English, and German.
