Calgary Iyengar Yoga

CIY, which was founded in 2011 at Lake Bonavista under the moniker Yoga For Health, has become a centre for Iyengar Yoga in Calgary. The practice and our teachers, who came from all four quadrants of the city, have fed and fostered us.

Our community invites new and returning students of every age, color, religion, gender, fitness level, identity, and body shape who want to learn about an old practice in a modern, intellectual, individualized, and genuine way. Teachers must study for at least three years before being evaluated and certified according to the Iyengar family’s requirements, which are regulated by the Iyengar Yoga Association of Canada.
