Iyengar Yoga practice frequently results in the elimination of aches and pains as well as the improvement of posture. The asanas (poses) are structured and classified so that trainees can move steadily and safely from basic to advanced postures as they build flexibility, strength, and sensitivity in mind, body, and spirit. Props and adjustments are used, allowing all ages, body types, and levels of conditioning to participate under the guidance of a sufficiently competent teacher.
