YOGASPACE

A Toronto-based yoga studio called Yogaspace has been providing online classes, workshops, and teacher trainings for 24 years.
Yogaspace is a registered teacher training school with the Yoga Alliance that strives to make its environment more inclusive, more accessible, and anti-oppressive.
The studio acknowledges cultural objects and practices that are present within its space and invites its community to consider the presence of these cultural practices.
The studio includes several Buddha statues throughout its space and sometimes invites patrons to sing or listen to the sound of om and/or speak the word namaste at the beginning or end of class.
Some teachers choose to share chants or mantras at the end of class that have Hindu, Sikh, or Buddhist roots.
Yogaspace is located in a “dish with one spoon territory” where coexistence involves taking care of the land and its creatures.
